Jr. LifeKids Nursery: 6 weeks-2 years
In the Nursery we focus on showing your babies the love of God. We’re not just “babysitting”. When your babies are in the nursery you can be confident they are being prayed over and well cared for while you are enjoying service.
Jr. LifeKids Preschool: 3-5 years
In the Junior room we are committed to teaching your children godly principals through play, crafts, worship, storytelling, videos, Bible lessons, small group activities, and more. We make it so your children are having fun while learning the Word of God.
LifeKids: 6-12 years
In LifeKids the environment is relevant, exciting, & engaging. The heartbeat of our ministry is to make the Word of God come alive to your children through relatable messages, lively worship, scripture memory, small groups, and so much more!

At LifeKids our mission is to engage kids, instill a servants heart, and show Christ’s love and grace to the world. We are raising up difference makers by helping students to find their purpose in the body of Christ, learn God’s plan for their present and their future, provide them with the place to grow in their walk with Christ, and finally, by empowering families. We would love for our church family to become part of yours.

Pastor John David Thomas
Pastor John David Thomas was born in Jasper, Indiana, to parents who were dedicated pastors. They established Victory Temple Assembly of God just a year before his birth. Growing up as a PK (Pastor's Kid), he began his ministry journey at the age of eight, playing drums for the worship team. By the age of twelve, he initiated a drama ministry at their church in Peru, Indiana. Throughout his teenage years, he actively participated in children's ministry and worked at summer camps. At eighteen, he took the lead in the Sunday night kids' ministry, focusing on training children for dramas, productions, and Fun Arts (similar to Fine Arts but tailored for kids).
After graduating, John David attended a School of Ministry in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon returning to Indiana, he served as the Children’s Pastor for his father, significantly growing the kids' ministry into the church’s strongest segment, making a lasting impact through regular services and community events.
In 2011, John David relocated with his family to embrace a new challenge at a church in Tifton, Georgia. During his three years there, he expanded the kids' ministry from 10 to over 60 children in only 3 years, taking as many as 40 kids to summer camp, raising thousands for missions, and engaging the community through VBS and various outreach programs.
While in Tifton, he also launched a young adults ministry and an events ministry that hosted Christian concerts and events nationwide.
John David is thrilled to join the team at Community Life Church, eager to help children grow in their relationship with God and make a significant impact in Port Charlotte and the surrounding areas by sharing the Love of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit.
